WHAT IS A TYPE-3 Indigo?

Welcome

If you've found your way here, there's a good chance you're searching for language to describe an experience that has been difficult to explain.

Perhaps you've spent your life feeling fundamentally different from those around you. Perhaps you've sensed an unusual intensity within yourself, a tension between compassion and severity, independence and longing, certainty and questioning. You may have felt called toward truth while simultaneously wrestling with fear, isolation, or deep internal contradiction.

The Type-3 Indigo framework attempts to describe that experience.

Rather than offering another identity to adopt, it offers a symbolic map for understanding the work of integration.

At Remembrance & Rebirth, we refer to this as The Bridge of Reconciliation.

What Is a Type-3 Indigo?

Within the Freedom Teachings developed by A'sha-yana Deane, the Indigo Type-3, also called the Recessive Type, is described as an individual who embodies two symbolic currents of consciousness: the Oraphim Current and the Nephilim Current.

These teachings present the currents as aspects of a larger spiritual cosmology. While many readers approach them literally, others understand them symbolically or psychologically.

The Sariel-Dael Protocol does not require you to adopt one interpretation over another.

Instead, it asks a simpler question:

What can this framework teach us about becoming more whole?

Whether viewed as metaphysical lineages, archetypal forces, or expressions of the human psyche, the two currents point toward a common challenge:

How do we integrate opposing parts of ourselves without allowing either to dominate?

The Central Assignment

The Type-3 path is not about becoming more powerful.

It is about becoming trustworthy with power.

It is not about eliminating the shadow.

It is about bringing the shadow into conscious relationship with wisdom.

It is not about escaping the human experience.

It is about becoming fully present within it.

This is why we call the Type-3 The Bridge of Reconciliation.

Its purpose is neither perfection nor polarity.

Its purpose is integration.

Ways to Understand the Framework

One of the strengths of the Type-3 model is that it can be explored from multiple perspectives.

Esoteric

The traditional teaching presents the Type-3 as embodying two spiritual currents: Oraphim and Nephilim, whose reconciliation forms part of a larger evolutionary process.

Archetypal

From a symbolic perspective, the two currents represent universal human tensions:

  • Compassion and instinct

  • Order and chaos

  • Service and self-protection

  • Love and fear

  • Wisdom and power

The work becomes one of conscious integration rather than choosing one side over the other.

Psychological

Many people resonate with the framework because it mirrors real inner experiences:

  • Conflicting internal parts

  • Trauma adaptations

  • Attachment patterns

  • Moral injury

  • Strong intuition alongside strong self-protection

  • The challenge of integrating vulnerability with strength

From this perspective, the Type-3 language functions as an archetypal map for personal growth rather than a literal description of identity.

These perspectives are not mutually exclusive. Readers are invited to explore the framework with curiosity, humility, and discernment.

Living Recognition

You may find yourself resonating with the Type-3 archetype if you recognize experiences such as:

  • Feeling as though your inner world has always been more complex than your outward life.

  • Seeing patterns, inconsistencies, or emotional undercurrents that others seem to overlook.

  • Resisting authority when it feels disconnected from integrity.

  • Oscillating between deep compassion and emotional withdrawal.

  • Feeling called to protect others while struggling to receive support yourself.

  • Carrying an enduring desire to reconcile rather than dominate.

  • Sensing that your deepest growth comes not from avoiding conflict, but from transforming it.

None of these experiences prove that someone is a Type-3 Indigo. They simply describe patterns that many readers find meaningful.

What the Type-3 Is Not

The Type-3 framework should never become a reason to place yourself above others or to excuse harmful behavior.

It is not:

  • A scientific or medical classification.

  • A substitute for mental-health care or trauma treatment.

  • Proof of spiritual superiority.

  • An explanation for every life challenge.

  • An excuse to avoid accountability.

  • A label that separates "awakened" people from everyone else.

The measure of this path is not what someone claims to be.

It is how they live.

The Sariel-Dael Perspective

Within the Sariel-Dael Protocol, the Type-3 journey unfolds through three stages:

Watcher

Learn to observe the two currents without identifying completely with either.

Architect

Build practices, relationships, and structures that support integration.

Sovereign

Live from conscious choice rather than unconscious reaction.

This progression is not about becoming someone new.

It is about remembering who you are beneath fear, conditioning, and fragmentation.

A Note on Discernment

The Type-3 Indigo model presented on this website is an esoteric and archetypal framework intended to support spiritual reflection and personal growth. It is not a scientifically established human classification or a medical diagnosis. Experiences discussed through this lens may also relate to trauma, neurodivergence, attachment patterns, personality development, or other aspects of human psychology.

Readers are encouraged to engage thoughtfully, seek appropriate professional support when needed, and use discernment in applying these ideas to their own lives.
